All 5 Sovereign Tower Endings & How to Get Them
Heavy spoilers below. This page describes how the game ends.
When the ending is decided
The main ending is chosen inside a single conversation — the Emperor's ultimatum. Nothing before it locks an ending in, and nothing after it changes your mind.
- The Emperor sizes you up. He reacts to whichever sovereign style you have the most points in.
- You respond. The options you get depend on that judgement.
- You commit. Some choices end the game there; others hand you a final quest first.
Fail that final quest, or fail the ultimatum itself, and you do not get an ending at all.
Which archetype unlocks which ending
Your highest sovereign style is the gate. There is a trap in this table worth naming: playing a balanced, moderate ruler is the worst outcome here. If no style passes 10 points, or all four are level, the Emperor only offers you war or bringing the tower down. Pick a lane during your reign.
| Your top style | Condition | Endings offered |
|---|---|---|
| No dominant style | All four styles at 10 or below, or all four tied | War · Tower Destruction |
| Tyrannic | Tyrannic is your highest style | War · War (extended) · Tower Destruction |
| Audacious | Audacious is your highest style | War · Marry · Peace (with the Golden Key) · Tower Destruction |
| Kind | Kind is your highest style | War · Surrender · Peace (with the Golden Key) · Tower Destruction |
| Wise | Wise is your highest style | War · Peace · Surrender · War (extended) · Tower Destruction |

The 5 endings
War
You meet the Empire on the field and win. Bretania comes out dominant and stays that way.
- Available on
- Every branch
- Final quest
- The final confrontation — 6 knights, STR 15, AGI 11, MAG 7, WIT 4, LCK 4
- Variant
- An extended version runs a longer and considerably darker epilogue. It needs the Golden Key plus the World Domination quest (6 knights, STR 15, AGI 12) and is offered on the Tyrannic and Wise branches.
Peace Treaty
A negotiated settlement where the two powers end up equals rather than victor and vanquished.
- Available on
- Wise directly; Audacious or Kind if you hold the Golden Key and offer it
- Final quest
- The final battle — 8 knights, STR 12, AGI 8, CHA 11, MAG 6, WIT 3, LCK 3 — unless Victoria is on your roster, in which case there is no final quest at all
- Variant
- Without the Golden Key the treaty holds at first and then comes apart. Hand the Key over as a gesture of commitment and the settlement holds.
Marry
Instead of fighting the Emperor you propose to him, and the two realms merge into one very large state with an open question about whether it holds.
- Available on
- Audacious only
- Final quest
- None — it resolves inside the conversation
- Variant
- The scene has a romantic and a non-romantic route through it. Both reach the same ending.
Surrender
You hand the kingdom over rather than spend lives defending it. Brizh continues under the Empire and you take a very different role in it.
- Available on
- Kind and Wise
- Final quest
- None — it resolves inside the conversation
- Variant
- Surrendering by choice, before you are beaten, is bloodless and generous. Surrendering after losing is a much darker version of the same scene.
Tower Destruction
You bring the Tower down and end its influence. The kingdom rebuilds without it and your reign is remembered for the destruction rather than the rule.
- Available on
- Every branch, via the option about keeping the Golden Key for yourself
- Final quest
- The final confrontation — same war quest
- Variant
- Structurally different from the other four: the run ends at the next cycle transition, and it skips both epilogues — no demon scene, no knight send-offs, no try-again prompt after the credits.
The demon epilogue
Plays after the main ending and before the character slides — and never on Tower Destruction, which skips both. It only appears if you rewound time at least once. Every rewind raises corruption by one, and corruption is the only thing this epilogue reads.
| Rewinds used | What plays |
|---|---|
| 0 | Nothing plays. |
| 1–19 | The lighter version. |
| 20 or more | The lighter version, then a second and darker one. |
The character slides
Knights still on your Round Table at the end, plus every servant you recruited. The Demon never gets a slide.
| What changes a slide | Who it affects |
|---|---|
| Romance | Gideon, Gwendan, Ursula, Brunhilda, Ligia, Oliver, Rowan, Carina, Belladonna, the Lady of the Tower |
| Which ending you chose | Angelica, Brunhilda, Childeric and Tarcus on tyrannic; Gwendan, Gideon, Brunhilda and Oliver on marriage; Tarcus on surrender or defeat |
| Evolutions | Arron, Dulahan, Oliver, Edith, Gwendan, Ursula, Alwena |
| Death | Ursula — she is the one knight with a slide written for having died |
Fixed slides regardless of anything: Goberto, Gothild, Silgur, Rufus, The Wolf, Chester, Zolta, Daguez, Ari, Epicrate, Sagadin, Rupin, Arlin and Victoria get the same slide regardless.
Two shortcuts worth planning around
- Victoria removes a final quest. On the Peace Treaty route, having Victoria on your roster resolves the ending inside the conversation. Without her you have to win an eight-knight stat check first. That decision is made much earlier, at the Enberg trial. The roster and its exclusive choices →
- Three endings need no final quest at all. Marry, Surrender, and Peace-with-Victoria all resolve in dialogue. If your roster is thin going into the ultimatum, those are the routes that do not punish you for it.
Where sources disagree
Which cycle the ultimatum lands on
A published guide places the ultimatum at cycle 45. Official screenshots show a "Targeted Cycle" counter in the corner reading 40 on a run at cycle 32.
Status: Unresolved as of Sep 1, 2026 — the target may move with the run rather than being fixed. Plan the last stretch by the on-screen counter, not by a number from a guide.
