All 24 Sovereign Tower Knights (Patch 1.0.11)
Spoilers. Recruit routes are story beats. Everything below Act 1 gives away how a thread resolves.
The full roster
| Knight | Joins | How to recruit | Meals | Romance | Evolves |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alwena | Any act | Send your entire Round Table out on quests, then check the empty table in the afternoon — she turns up offering to help. She only takes quests that last a single cycle, and on multi-knight quests she can only be slotted in last, so someone else always goes with her. | 2 | — | Yes |
| Angelica | Act 1 | She is with you from the opening of the game — no conditions. | 2 | — | — |
| Ari | Act 3 | In Act 3, ask Rodrik and Gotfrig about getting a griffin. They point you at their younger brother. | 2 | — | — |
| Arron | After the Dragon Knight | Defeat the Dragon Knight. He then introduces his great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandson. | 2 | — | Yes |
| Brunhilda | Act 2 | Either land a critical success negotiating with the princess of Gavault, or rewind and tell Mathilda you already know who it is and want an audience. She arrives the next cycle if your audacity is high enough. | 2 | Yes | — |
| Chester | Act 1–2 | When he tells you about the eggs, send Angelica to befriend the goose. On the follow-up quest send Gwendan, who steals them. When Chester comes back, ask about the goose being lonely and he asks to join. | All 6 | — | — |
| Childeric | Almor tournament | He begs you to throw the competition. Win it anyway and he asks to join your table instead. | 2 | — | — |
| Daguez | Act 2 | When the Act 2 rebellion breaks out you get three responses. Pick the one that knights one of the rebels at your table. The rebellion is not guaranteed — players who kept every population group satisfied never saw it. It appears to need one satisfaction meter to fall below 20. | 3 | — | — |
| Dulahan | After Goberto dies | If Goberto is killed, Dulahan arrives at court within a couple of cycles. For the related achievement, Goberto needs to die on a quest involving heights, which triggers the unexpected outcome where he falls. | All 6 | — | Yes |
| Edith | Act 2–3 | Speaking to the archmage of Moonvale, ask whether anyone has both dragon knowledge and mage abilities. Edith arrives the next cycle. The player who documented this route flagged it as the way it worked for them, and reported seeing other accounts. Treat it as one confirmed route, not the only one. | 1 | — | Yes |
| Epicrate | Trial sequence | When you are asked about transporting him, break him free instead if your audacity is high enough. The alternative route is proving him innocent at the trial. The player documenting this broke him out and only reported the trial route second-hand. | 2 | — | — |
| Gideon | Act 2 | He wanders into your court on his own in Act 2. | 2 | Yes | — |
| Goberto | Act 1 | He wanders into your court on his own in Act 1. | 3 | — | Yes |
| Gothild | Act 1–2 | Resolve the Enberg murder trial in the direction that implicates Victoria. Killing Victoria frees Gothild to join you. You can also defeat Victoria early and pick Gothild up inside the first two acts. | 2 | — | — |
| Gwendan | Act 1 | He wanders into your court on his own in Act 1. If you send him away over his debts he eventually comes back with a new look and rejoins the table. | 2 | Yes | Yes |
| Ligia | Lamp questline | Run her questline, investigate the markets rather than the island, then buy or steal the magic lamp. If you steal it, be honest with her about it. Hand the lamp over when she asks and she joins once her father is healed. An earlier account described winning the lamp quest inside a three-cycle deadline and rewinding when someone else finds it first. Both routes end with the lamp in her hands; the market route is the one that was confirmed step by step. | 2 | Yes | — |
| Oliver | Act 2 | In the opening minutes a knight tries to kill you. Spare him. He wanders into your court in Act 2. Players report he should appear around cycle 19 on a run where you never struck the knight, but at least two players who spared him did not see him arrive. If you hit the knight with the stone even once on a save, expect to rewind. | 2 | Yes | Yes |
| Rufus | Act 3 | Rufus is not recruited separately — he is what the Wolf becomes. With the Wolf on your table, finish the remove-the-curse quest in Groveshire and Belladonna the witch cures him. | 2 | — | — |
| Silgur | Late Act 1 | Take the "kill the beast" quest in Groveshire. He wanders into court afterwards. | 2 | — | — |
| Tarcus | Act 2 | After Mathilda asks for help storming the revolt fort in Gavault, Tarcus arrives right behind her and offers his services. | 2 | — | — |
| The Wolf | Act 1–2 | Send Angelica on the Groveshire "kill the beast" quest. Her companion does not matter. The beast visits the court on the following cycle. | 2 | — | — |
| Ursula | Act 2 | Arrives during the main story rather than through a side condition. | 2 | Yes | Yes |
| Victoria | Enberg trial | Comes out of the Enberg murder trial — the branch where you do not pin it on her. | 2 | — | — |
| Zolta | Act 2–3 | Play through the Kutnar questline and win the final tournament with a high-tier participant such as the Wolf, accept Kutnar's minimum-tax tradeoff, then hire Zolta for 250 gold. Alternatively, cheat on the second challenge — Zolta compliments your artistry and asks to work with you. | 2 | — | — |
Roster checked:
Knights you can lock yourself out of
Four entries on that table are not simply "harder". They are decisions that close another door, and a rewind is the only way back.
- Victoria or Gothild. The Enberg murder trial gives you one of them. Pin it on Victoria and killing her frees Gothild to join; leave Victoria standing and Gothild stays where she is. Worth knowing before you decide: holding Victoria at the end removes the final quest from the Peace Treaty ending entirely.
- The Wolf or Rufus. They are the same character. Finish the remove-the-curse quest in Groveshire and Belladonna turns the beast into Rufus, permanently.
- Daguez needs things to go badly. He arrives through the Act 2 rebellion, and players who kept every population group happy never saw that rebellion at all. Two players independently put the trigger at a satisfaction meter falling below 20 — which is also the threshold the "all groups satisfied" achievement uses.
- Dulahan needs Goberto dead. And for the related achievement, dead in a specific way: on a quest involving heights, which produces the unexpected outcome where he falls.
Who is worth prioritising
This site does not publish a stat tier list, because ranking 24 knights S-to-D would mean inventing numbers it cannot verify. What the data does support is narrower and more useful:
- Chester and Dulahan eat all six meals. Every other knight accepts between one and three. Since a preferred meal is worth +1.5 affinity and +0.5 to that knight's quest score, and you can only hand out one meal per round, the two who can never be fed wrong are the two you can always spend the meal on. Full meal table →
- Edith accepts exactly one meal — Brizhian Butter Shortbread. She is the hardest knight on the table to keep sweet.
- Goberto's transformation is a free upgrade. Sending him to the last segment of the Almor tournament returns him in legendary armour with better stats and a trait that soaks quest damage — and that is the same tournament segment Childeric asks you to throw.
- Victoria is an endgame shortcut. See above. She removes an eight-knight stat check from one of the five endings.
Servants and staff
These are not Round Table knights and cannot be sent on quests, but they appear in the ending slides and four of them can be romanced.
| Name | Role | Romance | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arlin | Steward | — | Unlocks meals. Fixed farewell slide. |
| The Lady of the Tower | Tower spirit | Yes | Her prophecy is a named achievement (A True Love Kiss). |
| Carina | Staff | Yes | Farewell slide changes on romance. |
| Belladonna | Witch | Yes | Recruiting the witch is an achievement. She is the one who cures the Wolf into Rufus. |
| Sagadin | Staff | — | Fixed farewell slide. |
| Rupin | Staff | — | Fixed farewell slide. |
| Rowan | Staff | Yes | Farewell slide changes on romance. |
| The Demon | Crypt demon | — | Powers the rewind. Never gets a farewell slide, whatever you do. |
Where this comes from
The roster count was reached two ways that agree: the six-meal table lists 24 knights by name, and a creator walkthrough of every recruit has 24 named chapters. Recruit routes come from a player who documented them at 30 hours in, plus corrections posted underneath. Where that player hedged, the hedge is printed in the table rather than smoothed away.
